COURSE OVERVIEW: Sports Safeguarding and Spectator Safety qualifications provide you required knowledge and experience to work as a steward in sports grounds, festivals venue, football marches, music venues, and other events, which require Safeguarding-Spectator Safety (Stewards). Sports Safeguarding and Spectator Safety (steward) training course curriculum is designed for those individuals who want to gain a career in the sports industry as a Safety steward officer or a marshal for large scale sporting events. The modules of the course provide the underpinning knowledge required on the field, these include Sports First Aid and-Emergency Training, Safeguarding children and vulnerable adult. You will learn about spectator safety, and physical intervention, conflict management scenario-based, and how to control the entry and exit at events. The module includes effective working relationships development and management.
COURSE AIM: The learner will demonstrate knowledge of the legislation, guidance of the job role, the undertaken by the spectator event steward, including the technical and soft skills, resolving sports fans conflict at the venue, able to help prevent venue disputes effectively, by successful completion of the course, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver a sports fans consumer-facing role, manage spectators in all manner of situations, reducing incidents and making the environment safer for participants.
(Part1) of the courses will explore modules for you to understand the importance of creating awareness and promote best practice to protect children and young adult in sports. You will learn best practice, how to create a safe, enjoyable and inclusive sporting environment for all children and young people in football and other sports, the unit will also be focused on how to recognise signs of an unsafe training environment, all types of abuses in sports.
