The programme aims to provide students with knowledge and understanding in Football Coaching and Management needed to become a qualified practitioner in the fast-growing field. The role of a football coach or football manager is full of immense pressure, and huge rewards.
Students will study a range of modules and topics in football coaching, sports science, physical education, football management, social, economic and cultural contexts, both in Ghana and worldwide, you’ll also learn community coaching, juvenile/academy coaching, semi-professional, professional and overseas coaching. The Football Coaching & Management degree qualification provides a unique learning placement opportunity to develop within the live operations of a professional atmosphere, providing students with access to coaching at clubs across the football pyramid, providing lifelong learning and education to aspiring young football coaches and managers, as well as being the hub for football industry qualifications. You will receive high-quality teaching, learning and coaching provision from professionals with backgrounds in academia and professional football.
The programme does not leave out the skills needed or required to critically evaluate contemporary sports issues and other related developing issues. The broad nature and multi-disciplinary approach of the course help students to understand football in its wider context: thus social, economic and cultural context. LSBC aims to ensure that everyone on our Football Coaching & Management degree qualifications, skills and expertise needed for the maximum chance of success within the football industry. In addition, LSBC will offer the student the opportunity to do CAF coaching license, from the Introductory level to CAF A Licence.
The course has been designed to allow students to choose options that reflect their personal interests and aspirations and allow flexibility through module choices at (Level-300 Academic year). LSBC focus is on learning not testing; therefore, we emphasis on developing independent, resourceful, problem-solving coaches who have developed transferable skills that can be applied across many contextsThrough our networks you’ll have the opportunity to work with professional sports organisations and community clubs to undertake work experience and research opportunities.
